A Personal Note

As As the summer comes to an end, vacation time is over, school has begun and it is time to get back to our regular routines. Soon the weather will change and for my family we will be celebrating Rosh Hashanah and the arrival of a new year.

I find September is the perfect month to look ahead, set new goals and make plans for the year to come. After a quieter summer, I am always excited about the fall real estate market. I have a number of excellent listing to prepare and I am looking forward to educating and exceeding my buyers expectations as we navigate the market.

Over the summer, I read and truly enjoyed Arianna Huffington’s book Thrive. As I begin to set goals for the next year, I will use this book to help me focus on building and maintaining a well rounded life. Our society tends to define success via career and financial reward, but Arianna suggests there is a third metric for defining success and that is to thrive by living healthy, balanced and meaningful life outside of work.

I am someone who loves my job and it has always been easy to set goals around my career. I look forward to this being the year of balance and achieving a new set of goals. We all know someone struggling to find balance. This book has been a great influence on me and I hope a few of you find the time to read Arianna’s story.

Best Wishes,
Joy
