A Busy September
Fall has arrived with a blink of the eye. I hope you all enjoyed a relaxing and rewarding summer and now it is time to get back to our normal routines. With the Jewish Holidays falling in the same week as Labour Day (for the 1st time in over 100 years) and school beginning, it has been a strange and slower start to the Fall real estate market. Even though Fall is a shorter selling season, do expect things to pick up in the following weeks, as there is a demand for quality product, despite the rise in interest rates. Proving that real estate in Toronto remains an excellent investment.
Another sign that Fall is in the air, is the return of the local street fairs around Toronto. We are so fortunate to live in communities that go the extra mile to get to know their neighbours. I love the idea of bring a neighbourhood together. If you ever need help organizing one of your local events, PLEASE reach out and drop me a quick email or pick up the phone. In the past I have helped out with outdoor movie nights, BBQ’s, run a popcorn machine, organized scavenger hunts, etc. I have many more ideas that might make your next street party a huge success.
Finally, if you have always wanted to get something started on your street, one of the best starting places is a community group on Facebook. Make this a closed group where residence can safely and confidentially share news, ideas, babysitters, dog walkers, etc. Owning a home is so much more than the lot size and bricks, it is about the people who share your community.
All my best,
